The Armenian Genocide Centennial Committee sponsored a Candlelight Vigil in front of the Dallas City Hall on Friday April 24, 2015. The event drew about 400 attendees on one of the stormiest afternoons Dallas had ever seen.

It will be a colorful journey through Taras Shevchenko’s life, Ukrainian poet and artist, iconic figure of Ukrainian culture. He was born in Ukraine, lived in Kazakhstan, and died in Russia.

Expect to see: finest of Ukrainian singing and dance, exhibition and sale of Ukrainian art and souvenirs, telecast with Ukraine.

Special guest: Ukrainian Madonna Ludmila Kasyanenko. Special appearance: People’s Artist of Ukraine Anatoliy Matviychuk (via satellite)
