Archbishop Dmitri (Royster)

On March 4th–5th, 2016 with the blessing of His Beatitude, Metropolitan TIKHON, we will reinter the late Archbishop Dmitri of Dallas in the new Memorial Chapel at St Seraphim Cathedral, 4208 Wycliff Ave, Dallas, TX.

The services coincide with the Saturday for the Commemoration of the Reposed preceding the Sunday of the Last Judgment.

On Friday morning, March 4th, 2016 Archpriest Michael Storozuk will lead a Memorial Service [Pannikhida] at Restland Cemetery at the grave of Archbishop Dmitri. Then Restland Cemetery personnel will uncover the earthly remains of the late Archbishop Dmitri (Royster), placing them in a new coffin built by Archpriest Michael.

Then Restland Funeral Home will transport the body of Archbishop Dmitri from Restland Memorial Park to St Seraphim Cathedral, where His Beatitude TIKHON, Archbishop of Washington and Metropolitan of All America and Canada, will meet the body of Archbishop Dmitri. A memorial litany will be served.

This re-burial or re-interment will conclude with the closing of the crypt with a temporary cover. A marble memorial ledger will be placed over his tomb at the beginning of the week. Texas-style hospitality will follow the festivities on Saturday.
