Schedule for Saturday April 18th 2015
Parking: The Texas Trial Lawyers Association has opened the use of their parking garage for our use on Saturday. It is just across the street from the entrance to the First United Methodist Church Family Life Center at 13th Street and Lavaca.
Hotel: We have set aside a block of hotel rooms if you are planning on coming to Austin on Friday. It is at the Hyatt Place Austin / Arboretum for $139 per room plus tax. It is about a 15 minute drive to the Capitol Register for a hotel room.
April 18 Schedule of Events
12:00 pm – Check-in at the First United Methodist Church’s Family Life Center(FLC), 1300 Lavaca Street, located at the northwest corner of Lavaca and 13th Streets
12:45 pm – Armenian Prayer Service in the Family Life Center
1:00 pm – Peace March begins at the FLC. We will walk south on Guadalupe, east on 5th Street, then north on Congress Avenue, toward the Texas State Capitol with a police escort.
2:00 pm – Rally at the Texas State Capitol, south steps
4:00 pm – Memorial Dinner (hokejash) Sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Diran and Knar Yeghparian, in memory of their ancestors and the 1.5 million victims of the Armenian Genocide.
