Довольно поучительная история приключилась не так давно на I-35E фривее в штате Техаc, в районе города Форт-Уэрт, рассказвает техасская газета The Dallas Telegraph.

Один дяденька ехал себе в машине с детьми и и поменял линию, не видя в заднем зеркале мотоциклиста, чем вызвал крайнее неудовольствие последнего.

Жадерек Грей (JaDerek Gray), так звали 19ти летнего байкера, обогнал дяденьку и затормозил, поставив мотоцикл посреди фривея и перекрыв таким образом движение.

После этого господин Грей достал пистолет и, направив его на автомобиль обидчика, стал приближаться к водителю.

Тут нам следует остановить кадр и задаться вопросом – а в чем фатальная ошибка молодого мотоциклиста? Ответ, как и фривей №35E, лежит на поверхности. На поверхности штата Техас. Если бы юный Грей вынул пистолет в какой-нибудь gun-free Калифорнии, или хуже того – в Нью-Йорке, то получил бы именно то, на что рассчитывал – безоружные граждане как овцы подняли бы руки.

Но дело, напомню, было в штате Техас. Водитель крикнул Грею, что в машине дети и что хорошо было бы опустить ствол, но нервный мотоциклист продолжал приближаться. Когда он подошел достаточно близко, мужчина выхватил свой пистолет и разрядил в нападавшего обойму.

Сирены, полицейские, вертолет, госпиталь, все дела… но жизнь 19ти летнего парня, по какой-то причине поверившего в то, что оружие должно быть только у него одного, спасти не удалось. Остался красивый зеленый мотоцикл, но его вскоре увезли и движение возобновилось.

Личность человека, защитившего жизнь своих детей и свою собственную, не объявляется, но у полиции к нему претензий нет.

Fatal road rage shooting began with motorcyclist pointing gun at man and kids, police say

 

A motorcyclist pointed a gun at the driver of an SUV before the man fatally shot the motorcyclist on a freeway in Fort Worth, according to Fort Worth police.

The motorcyclist, JaDerek Gray, 19, of Bedford, died at a hospital after the shooting on I-35W on Friday afternoon. According to Fort Worth police, the man who shot Gray did so in self-defense after Gray pointed a handgun at him and his children, who were inside the man’s SUV.

Gray was driving his motorcycle north on I-35 near Heritage Trace Parkway and weaving in and out of traffic, police said. in a news release Tuesday. The man in the SUV started to change lanes without seeing the motorcyclist, and Gray swerved to avoid being hit by the SUV. Gray passed several cars and then stopped in the roadway, halting traffic.

A person driving a sport utility vehicle shot Gray near Heritage Trace Parkway about 3 p.m. Friday, according to police. Police have not described the events that led up to the shooting.

Police said the shooting was under investigation and the shooter is cooperating. No arrests or charges had been announced as of Monday afternoon.

Police said Gray was taken to the hospital via helicopter on Friday, and he died the same day about 6:15 p.m., according to medical examiner records.

A man driving an SUV fatally shot a handgun-toting motorcyclist who advanced toward him on foot following a traffic incident between the two on I-35 on Friday, June 25, Fort Worth Police said.

Police said Tuesday, June 29, that the SUV driver was cooperating with the investigation and hasn’t been arrested.

Police said detectives have interviewed several witnesses to the Friday incident.

Police said the motorcyclist was driving in between lanes of traffic on the center white line on northbound Interstate 35 when the SUV driver — who didn’t notice the motorcyclist — started to change lanes.

Police said the motorcyclist swerved and the two didn’t collide.

The motorcyclist then passed several cars and parked his motorcycle, stopping all traffic, police said.

Police said the motorcyclist walked back toward the SUV, pointing a handgun at the driver.

Police said the SUV driver told the motorcyclist to put down the gun and that there were children in his vehicle.

But police said the motorcyclist kept advancing toward the SUV with the handgun pointed so the SUV driver retrieved his handgun and shot the motorcyclist multiple times.

Police said officers later located the motorcyclist’s handgun.

The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital, where he died.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the motorcyclist as JaDerek Gray, 19, of Bedford.
